SUMMARY
At Nature’s Way, we have been helping people live healthy lives for over 50 years.  We follow strict protocols for ingredient sourcing, product formulation, and facility conditions to ensure we are nourishing our consumers from the inside out.  Over the years, we have expanded our distribution online to ensure our consumers can easily find our products, regardless of where or how they prefer to shop.

Reporting directly to the Director of eCommerce, the eCommerce Sales Team Lead role will have full P&L responsibility for Amazon. This includes the development and execution of sales strategies that deliver profitable topline growth, management of vendor manager relationship, joint business planning, retail media strategy, trade promotion management, and full-funnel analytics. The Sales Team Lead will oversee all activities that support the growth on our Amazon business, through a mix of direct and indirect reporting relationships.

The position requires a leader with deep understanding of eCommerce sales and marketing, and who is well-versed in both 1P and 3P/marketplace models to ensure our strategy is cutting edge, our tactics are ahead of the algorithm, our media is efficient, and we're achieving growth goals while building toward our brand vision.  Teamwork and collaboration are critical skills to ensure the Sales Team Lead is both agile and efficient in their role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Directly manage and drive growth for NW on the Amazon platform.
  • Develop strategic plan to meet annual volume target. Collaborate with the Retail Media team to establish revenue & advertising goals for key NW businesses and align on execution plan.
  • Negotiate mutually beneficial terms with Amazon to operate within allotted annual budget and optimize available funds to drive growth.  Coordinate internal alignment on negotiation strategy and building long term growth plans for Amazon.
  • Provide strategic guidance for Key Account Manager who supports promotional planning and internal forecasting and for Associate Manager who is responsible for daily catalog management. 
  • Support career development of 2 direct reports and help them achieve their highest potential.
  • Work closely with the Ecommerce Digital Marketing team for Amazon Marketing execution tied to broader Amazon business plan objectives
  • Expand brand presence and drive growth by focusing on strategic initiatives like category expansion, pricing strategy, exclusive offerings, and marketplace strategy.
  • Work closely with key departments (Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Operations, Demand Planning) to maximize the profitability and productivity of the business.
  • Provide informed sales forecasts and relevant market intelligence to Sales and Marketing partners as needed.
  • Evangelize eCommerce at NW: welcome the opportunity to share insights and knowledge with team members across the organization.
  • Oversee agency partners who support promotional planning, advertising activations, catalog insights, and eComm syndicated data.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has supervisory responsibility. Direct duties and develop capabilities of an Associate Ecommerce Managers and Key Account Manager.

  • Proficient in Amazon Vendor Central, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook  
  • Previous experience as a National Account Manager
  • FMCG/CPG experience in 1P and 3P marketplaces preferred

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; plus 5+ years related sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION 
Must have a valid driver's license and meet the terms of the SNA driver policy.

TRAVEL
Approximately 10% to properly cover account and duties as assigned.
