SUMMARY
The Director of Finance – FP&A (Sales and Marketing) will provide strategic financial leadership in establishing and executing growth plans and value-added capabilities in partnership with commercial leaders.  In this role, you will lead teams and collaborate cross-functionally to provide actionable, growth-oriented insights across brand, consumer and customer plans / investments. This role will also bring experience and expertise in building integrated capabilities around FP&A, net revenue management, performance marketing, and strategic customer planning. The position is available to be based out of Minneapolis or Green Bay with flexibility of hybrid work arrangements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategic Planning responsibilities include:
  • Leverage deep knowledge of dietary supplements industry to inform strategy, integrate Sales and Marketing/Brand Plans into financial planning models and develop new product innovation / customer channel opportunities
  • Lead the FP&A process including long range planning), quarterly financial forecasts and monthly variance analysis to all financial forecasts  
  • Partner with leadership to evaluate potential business transactions with effective, data-based conclusions including product line expansions, mergers, acquisitions, and capital expenditures
  • Ensure commercial incentive plans effectively and efficiently align to company objectives
  • Oversee the digital transformation of planning and analysis tools, Customer / Brand P&L reporting
  • Support customer/brand segmentation models, informing pricing, promotion and portfolio strategies
Management / mentoring responsibilities include:
  • Lead the Sales and Marketing Finance Team to ensure actionable business analytics and data-based recommendations for Sales Channels / Brand Management, consistent with P&L objectives
  • Monitor, analyze, and present financial performance and business trends to support CEO, VP and other business partners in driving profitable revenue growth.
  • Design and implement value-added capabilities and processes in areas such as planning, forecasting, analytics, pricing, promotion optimization, and mix management.
  • Lead talent development practices for direct reports to support scale and enhance culture.
  • Drive a continuous improvement mindset leveraging external benchmarking where applicable.
Provide cross functional leadership and support, including:
  • Build relationships and partner with cross-functional leaders with an emphasis on our Commerical Teams (Sales and Marketing) to develop plans for business growth
  • Partner with accounting department in maintaining data integrity and full compliance with all procedures and policies, including responsibility for all relevant sales accrual processes
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to assess / analyze our demand forecasts (S&OP) and provide guidance as it relates to our financial forecasts
  • Review and analyze margin and product financial performance with cross-functional leaders   
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
  • MBA and/or CPA preferred. 
  • 10+ years of experience in progressive financial management roles and at least 5+ years leading teams.
PREFERED SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES
  • Experience in CPG/FMCG industry with demonstrated history of understanding and developing category, customer, and consumer insights useful for optimizing strategic and/or operational plans.
  • Demonstrated ability developing or advancing financial analytic and planning capabilities designed to improve business performance, leveraging SAP, SAC, Power BI, A4E and other analytical tools.
  • Experience with trade or promotional management leveraging trade management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability leading cross-functional projects or processes such as integrated FP&A processes.
  • Experience in analyzing e-commerce and DTC financial performance, including customer acquisition costs (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and digital marketing ROI
LOCATION/TRAVEL
  • The position is available to be based out of the Minneapolis Sales and Marketing office or the Green Bay Corporate HQ with flexibility of hybrid work arrangements.
  • Expectation of travel to Minneapolis / Green Bay HQ as needed for team development and business critical in-person meetings (~20%).
